Naomi Trout, Musuem Archaeologist and Material Culture Specialist

We are thrilled to welcome Naomi Trout to the Westmoreland County Museum as our new Archaeologist and Material Culture Specialist.

Naomi brings deep experience in archaeology and public interpretation, with a strong focus on connecting objects to the people, places, and stories that shaped our region. Her work transforms artifacts from items on a shelf into meaningful windows into daily life, belief, trade, and community across generations.

At the Museum, Naomi will play a key role in caring for our collections, supporting research and exhibits, and creating engaging educational experiences that invite students and the public to connect directly with archaeology.
