The Westmoreland County Museum invites members of the community to participate in its ongoing work to research, interpret, and present the history of the Northern Neck, particularly as preparations advance for the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution. As an active and developing institution, the Museum offers opportunities for volunteers to contribute across a range of functions, including exhibit research and development, archaeology and material culture support, collections organization, visitor engagement, educational programming, and operational support within its historic buildings. Individuals of varied backgrounds, including students seeking service hours or career exploration, are encouraged to engage with this work. Prospective volunteers are invited to attend Night at the Museum on April 11 at 6:00 PM, an after hours program providing guided access to the Museum’s spaces, an overview of current and forthcoming projects, and an introduction to the roles available for participation. Those interested in volunteering or attending the event may complete the form below to receive additional information and next steps.
